The irrigation technology for Spathiphyllum in commercial cultivation is based on strict control of the electrical conductivity of the nutrient solution and the prevention of water stagnation in the substrate.

When using sprinkler irrigation systems, the electrical conductivity of the solution is maintained in the range of 2.5–3.0 mS. After overhead irrigation, a mandatory step is washing the foliage with water at an EC of 1.2 mS with the addition of wetting agents, which eliminates the risk of salt accumulation and leaf burn on the leaf blades.
In ebb-and-flow systems, the operating electrical conductivity parameters are 2.5–2.8 mS, accounting for recirculated water. Given the tropical origin of the crop, it is necessary to maintain consistent substrate moisture without waterlogging, using well-drained mixes to ensure root aeration.
During the production cycle, adjustment of the nutrient strategy is required due to the plant's intensive potassium uptake, which can lead to its deficiency in the substrate even with normal leaf analysis results. Regular monitoring of the source water composition is critical for maintaining a balance of nutrients.
