Rose productivity is defined as the ability of a genotype to ensure the maximum yield of marketable products: the number of cut shoots in protected ground or the volume of essential oil accumulated in the inflorescences of essential oil varieties.

For essential oil varieties, the key indicators of productivity are flower mass and the concentration of essential oil in inflorescences, where values at the level of 0,030–0,049% are considered promising. The realization of this potential directly depends on adherence to technological cultivation regulations.
