Suitability for cutting — Allwood pink

Unlike commercial carnation varieties, the Allwood pink is characterized by shorter flower stalks, which limits its use in professional floristry and makes it preferable for small home arrangements. Its use as a cut flower is justified by its distinct spicy fragrance, which is highly valued in interior decoration.

The biology of the hybrid dictates the need to maintain a balance when cutting: removing inflorescences stimulates the formation of new buds, but it is critical not to cut the foliage too low to avoid killing the plant. When choosing varieties for cutting, preference should be given to the tallest cultivars.
