Yield recording is conducted by weighing the marketable part of the plants, cleaned of damaged leaves, taking into account the area of the test plot and the replication of the experiment. Depending on the harvesting technology, a single cut of the entire plant or selective harvesting as mass accumulates is used. Values are traditionally expressed in kg/m² or t/ha.

Yield values vary depending on growing conditions: from 2–3 kg/m² in open fields to 3–6 kg/m² and higher when using hydroponic systems in protected ground. This indicator is influenced by the biological characteristics of the variety, such as the rate of leaf formation and resistance to premature bolting, as well as planting density, which is approximately 11–12 plants per 1 m².
