In open-field conditions, it is essential to provide protection from overheating and intense direct sunlight to prevent leaf bitterness and wilting.

Agronomic practices include direct sowing at a depth of 0.6–2 cm or the transplanting method with a planting density of about 12 plants per 1 m². It is recommended to select plots previously used for tomatoes, peppers, onions, or legumes, avoiding areas where brassica crops were grown. The vegetation period in the open field is 25–40 days, and maintaining continuous growth requires regular overhead irrigation due to high moisture evaporation.
