Commercial gerbera cultivation requires drip irrigation or the application of water directly to the root zone, as moisture entering the center of the rosette causes crown rot. An optimal water-air balance in the root zone is ensured by using inert substrates such as coconut fiber or mineral wool.

The plant requires a 12–14 hour photoperiod with strict maintenance of temperature regimes: 18–24°C during the day and no lower than 16°C at night. Due to high sensitivity to overheating under intense solar radiation, shading is mandatory, and misting systems are used to maintain humidity at a level of 60–70%.

Phytosanitary safety is ensured by using meristematic planting material and disinfecting substrates before planting. The technological cycle includes regular manual pruning of side shoots and the removal of spent flower stalks, which prevents the development of fungal infections and stimulates repeat flowering.
