The tree has a uniform crown shape. Leaves are of medium size, green in color. Flowering occurs in April before the leaves emerge; the flowers are of a greenish-yellow hue and are gathered in corymbose inflorescences.

The plant is undemanding regarding soil conditions and develops well both in open sunny areas and in partial shade.
