The variety is a specialized male pollinator plant. It belongs to the diploid plant type, produces exclusively male flowers, and does not form fruits.

The flowering period of the variety coincides with the flowering phase of many commercial female kiwi varieties, including the Hort16A variety. Application of pollen from this variety contributes to an increase in fruit weight and the concentration of anthocyanins in them. The vines are characterized by vigorous growth during the spring-summer period and require regular pruning.

The plant is included in reference guides for the identification of male varieties in the context of risk management in kiwi cultivation, including susceptibility to bacterial canker (Psa-V).
