Variety description

The variety is early-maturing and was obtained as a result of crossing Actinidia chinensis seedlings. The fruits have an ovoid shape with a soft protuberance, yellow flesh, and skin with sparse pubescence.
The plant is adapted to warm conditions and requires about 350–400 hours of winter chilling for fruiting. The variety is distinguished by a high rate of entry into fruiting, stable yields without the use of hydrogen cyanamide, and a high degree of fruit uniformity.
The produce possesses good keeping quality in storage. The variety is intended for commercial cultivation and is also known under the code designation KZ16.
