The Zuva variety is a male cultivar whose primary task is to synchronize the flowering period with female kiwifruit varieties of the species Actinidia chinensis. The plant is tetraploid and was selected during a breeding program for use as a specialized pollinator.

Due to the biological characteristics of the male plant, this variety does not form fruit for commercial sale. Detailed agronomic characteristics, such as disease resistance indices or growth parameters, are not provided in open publications.
