Bila bulbs have an elongated shape, dense white flesh, and dark yellow or light brown strong scales. The dry matter content in the bulbs is 11–13%. The variety is characterized by high resistance of the scales to cracking and uniform foliage lodging.
The variety belongs to the Wolska type and is intended for long-term storage, fresh consumption, and processing, including the production of dried onions. In agronomic studies, the variety is used as a test subject for resistance to onion thrips and in breeding programs for interspecific hybridization.
