The bulbs are spherical to diamond-shaped and reach an average weight of about 250 g. When fresh, the outer scales are red-purple in color, which takes on a grayish hue upon drying. The plant has a semi-erect habit.
The variety is adapted to a subtropical climate and belongs to summer types with a short growing cycle: sowing is carried out in November-December, and harvesting from May to July. The produce is distinguished by a high content of sugars and fructose; after drying, the onion retains its market quality for up to 2–3 months.
