The bulbs of the variety are large, with a mass of about 90–110 g, ranging in shape from slightly flattened to spherical, with a thin neck. The outer scales are intensely red or red-burgundy, the flesh is purple-white, firm and juicy. When grown for green onions, the leaves reach a height of about 30 cm.
The variety is distinguished by uniformfoliage lodging before harvest and good yield. Due to its mild, delicate taste, the onion is recommended for use in salads. The variety is suitable for cultivation both by direct seeding in March–April and by planting sets.
