Darkstone F1 is a late-maturing hybrid with a growing period of about 130 days, distinguished by high growth vigor and a developed root system. The bulbs have a dark bronze color, high density, and 3–4 tightly adhering scale layers. The neck of the bulb is thin and dries well, and the hybrid itself is characterized by high uniformity in size and maturity dates.
Due to the high dry matter content and bulb hardness, the variety is suitable for long-term storage for up to 9–10 months. The hybrid is resistant to mechanical damage during harvesting and transport, as well as to Fusarium wilt and pink root rot. The variety is intended for the fresh market and is suitable for mechanized harvesting.
