The bulbs have a flattened-globular or elliptical shape and are covered with pure white scales. The taste is moderately pungent and sweetish. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, culinary purposes, and cold forcing.
When grown at high density, the variety is used to produce pearl onions 10–30 mm in size. It is recommended to perform light hilling of the plants to prevent the bulbs from turning green. When grown for pearl onions, seeds are sown at a depth of 4–5 cm.
The variety is grown by direct sowing in the field. During cultivation, preventative protection against onion fly and downy mildew is required.
