The variety Københavns Torve, sometimes referred to with the designation Konta, is a breeding line widely known in Denmark and included in official variety lists between 1976 and 2011. Breeding was conducted with the participation of Danish companies, such as Dæhnfeldt.
The plant belongs to the crop Allium porrum L. and is distinguished by a relatively long pseudostem. Historically, the variety was positioned for summer and autumn harvest, with its ability to overwinter in mild winter conditions when cultivated in open field noted.
