Japo II is an improved version of the traditional Czech variety Japo. It is a late-ripening spring-type variety intended for spring planting, which is harvested in early August.
The plant belongs to the non-bolting type with narrow leaves. The bulbs have a regular round shape, contain 8 to 13 large uniform cloves and possess a high capacity for long-term storage, up to June of the following year.
The variety is valued for the stability of its characteristics and the resistance of the bulbs to splitting when harvest is delayed.
