The Lički podkapelski variety is a traditional heirloom variety cultivated in the Croatian region of Lika. The variety has undergone an official registration and testing process to obtain the status of a protected traditional genetic resource.

The variety's production is certified under the Lika Quality regional quality system. Detailed morphological characteristics, such as plant height, as well as agronomic indicators, including maturity dates and disease resistance, are absent in open publications.
