The plant forms a dense clump 20–35 cm high. The variety is distinguished by upright growth and vigorous clump development; leaves are dark green and have thick walls.

The variety is highly productive and possesses good regrowth capacity after cutting. Used as a perennial culinary herb with semi-sharp tasting leaves, suitable for cultivation in gardens, kitchen gardens, and for greens production.
