The variety was created as a result of crossing winter-hardy species from Chile and summer-flowering species from Brazil. The plant forms sturdy upright flower stalks with a height of 60 to 90 cm. The flowers are orange with lemon-yellow accents, small brown specks, and a light lime tint.

The plant is a vigorously growing perennial with a flowering period from mid-June to frost. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zone 5. Cut flower stalks retain their decorative quality in a vase for up to two weeks.
