The variety Rosé (EF2-114) was developed by introducing changes to the genome to regulate carotenoid biosynthesis and control flowering. Elements derived from pineapple, mandarin, potato, and tobacco were included in the genetic apparatus.

The plant structure is similar to the parental MD2 variety. The fruits are characterized by pink or light-red flesh with yellow spots. The variety possesses tolerance to natural flowering, which promotes uniform growth and development of fruits intended for sale in fresh form.
