The variety is intended for cultivation in greenhouses and is characterized by a squat growth habit. The plant has aromatic dark green leaves and forms a large number of very thin stalks.

Economic characteristics include resistance to premature bolting. Historically, the variety was widely distributed in the Netherlands as a crop for greenhouse cultivation.
