The plant is a perennial loose-bunch grass reaching a height of 100 to 150 cm. A key feature of the variety is the absence of awns, which improves the efficiency of mechanical seed sowing. The variety is distinguished by a high initial growth rate and reaches maximum productivity in the second to third year of life.
The plant possesses high drought tolerance due to the development of a deep root system, but shows sensitivity to late spring frosts due to early resumption of vegetation. In fresh form, the grass has a bitter aftertaste, so its use as hay is preferred.
The variety is intended for the creation of hay meadows and inclusion in grass mixtures for field forage production. The crop develops best on warm, nutrient-rich soils. The variety does not tolerate frequent grazing well, therefore it is not recommended for intensive grazing.
