The Fortems variety is a male asparagus hybrid suitable for cultivation both in the open field and using protected cultivation technologies, such as greenhouses or mini-tunnels. The plant is used by professional growers primarily for the production of white asparagus.
Morphologically, the variety is distinguished by the formation of thick stems. Despite being included in scientific studies dedicated to the metabolomic profile of the crop, detailed agronomic characteristics, including precise growth parameters and disease resistance indicators, are absent from open publications.
