The plant reaches a height of 1.2–1.6 m and forms robust bushes. The shoots are uniform, dark green, with a purple or reddish tint on the heads. The diameter of the shoots in the stage of economic maturity is 1.0–1.5 cm, and the texture is characterized as tender and low-fiber.

The variety possesses frost resistance (down to -30°C) and drought tolerance, and exhibits high resistance to asparagus rust. The crop can grow in one place for 15–20 years or more; harvesting is recommended to begin from the third year after planting.

The shoots are suitable for consumption fresh, boiled, and fried, as well as for canning and freezing. The plant's feathery leaves can be used in floral arrangements.
