The Maralim variety (number K2022) is intended for the commercial cultivation of white asparagus in temperate climates. The plant produces straight spears, predominantly 20–28 mm in caliber, ensuring a high yield of first-class produce. A characteristic feature is the tight head closure, which allows for flexibility in harvest timing.
The plant's fern is compact and resistant to lodging. The variety has low susceptibility to hollow stems, spear brittleness, rust, and pink discoloration of the stems. Optimal growing conditions are well-drained sandy soils at a planting density of 5 plants per linear meter and a depth of 15 to 25 cm.
