The variety is one of the first polyploid forms obtained by artificial doubling of the chromosome set. Spears have a dark green color with purple-pinkish shades at the base and on the heads, which remain tightly closed even at full maturity.

The plant demonstrates good adaptability to various growing conditions and high productivity. The variety is characterized as mid-late, and shoot maturation can continue until June. The variety name is included in the production standards of a number of protected designations of origin.
