Variety description

The plant's foliage changes shade throughout the season: in spring, the leaves have a yellowish color with a dark border; as they mature, they acquire a chocolate-burgundy color, and in summer, they become almost black with a purple tint. Inflorescences consist of raspberry-violet, lilac-pink, or pink-purple flowers.
The plant forms a dense vertical bush 50–55 cm tall; with flower stalks, the total height reaches 60–90 cm. The flowering period occurs in July–August and lasts 4–6 weeks. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness (USDA zones 4–9) and increased drought tolerance compared to other Astilbe.
