Inflorescences are paniculate, dense, pyramidal in shape, and colored white. Upright stems have a characteristic reddish or dark red tint. Foliage is bipinnate, dark green, sometimes with a glaucous or bronze sheen, and is characterized by its compactness.

The plant is medium-sized, reaching a height of 40–80 cm depending on growing conditions. Flowering begins in July and continues until the end of August or early September. The variety is winter hardy (USDA zone 4) and resistant to many diseases, suitable for cutting and drying.
