Variety description

The plant forms a compact bush 50–60 cm wide. The dark green foliage has a lacy texture; the total height of the bush with peduncles is from 60 to 85 cm, with the foliage itself being about 45 cm high. The inflorescences are dense and colored dark pink with a purple or fuchsia tint.
The variety belongs to the mid-season flowering group, which occurs in July–August. The plant has high winter hardiness, withstanding USDA zone 4, and is characterized by resistance to diseases and pests. The peduncles are notable for their strength.
For cultivation, partial shade or areas with diffused light are preferred, as well as moist, rich, and well-drained soils. The plant does not tolerate drought and requires regular watering. The variety is most often classified in the Arendsii Astilbe group, and less frequently in Astilbe japonica.
