The variety has medium heading and maturity dates and is of the medium-height type. A morphological feature of the grain is strong pubescence at the base of the primary floret.

Under agricultural conditions, the variety is susceptible to cereal aphid infestation. It is used in Mediterranean climates, including in dual-purpose systems for grazing and grain production.
