Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is intended for soil improvement, erosion prevention, and reduction of compaction due to a powerful root system. It can be used as a forage crop for green mass or hay production.

The plant is characterized by late maturity and high initial growth vigor. It possesses resistance to lodging, powdery mildew, and oat dwarf virus. It effectively suppresses the spread of the nematode Pratylenchus penetrans.

The species Avena strigosa is adapted to various soil types but is sensitive to severe frosts. It differs from traditional common oat by the presence of long awn-like appendages at the apex of the lemma.
