The variety is a tall plant with thin stems and black seeds, characterized by a high leaf-to-stem ratio. It belongs to the mid-season or mid-late maturity group.
The plant possesses high adaptability to various soil types, preferring pH levels from 4.5 to 8.6, and effectively tolerates increased acidity. The variety establishes quickly and regrows well after livestock grazing.
Primary use includes the creation of forage pastures for sheep, cattle, and horses, hay and silage production, and use as a cover crop. Due to the black color of the seeds, the variety is less attractive to birds, which allows for its use in late plantings.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
