The Vitalli variety is a specialized crop intended for use as a green manure. It is not an Avena sativa oat and is not used for food or forage purposes.

The plant possesses a developed root system and quickly covers the soil surface, which allows for effective suppression of weed vegetation. When growing the variety, a capacity to reduce the population of harmful root-knot nematodes by 50–70% is noted.

When evaluating the variety, parameters such as flowering dates, the degree of vegetative mass development, and resistance to barley yellow dwarf virus, which causes leaf reddening, are taken into account.
