The variety EC-BEGON-1901 is the result of breeding and differs from the wild form of Begonia masoniana by its unique leaf morphology. The plant is used exclusively as an ornamental crop for pot or garden cultivation.
The leaf blade of the variety has a bright green primary color with pronounced surface wrinkling. Characteristic features include a brown border along the leaf margin and a brown palmate spot in the central part.
