The root crops have an oval or cylindrical-conical shape with a length of 20–30 cm. The variety requires about 6 months for full development. Fodder beet prefers light or medium soils, does not tolerate waterlogging, and is sensitive to frost.
The flesh is characterized by a delicate taste. Due to its properties, in addition to its primary use as livestock feed, the variety can be consumed as food, particularly in salads.
