The SMART LEONA KWS hybrid belongs to the normal-sugar (NZ) type and is intended for industrial sugar production. The plant is adapted to cultivation technology using special herbicides of the CONVISO SMART system.

The variety possesses complex resistance to Fusarium, scab, and Cercospora leaf spot. The maturity group of the hybrid is defined as mid-late or late.
