The sugar beet variety Arimona was developed by the breeding station in Bučany (Slovakia). In agricultural production, the variety was used in the second half of the 20th century and belongs to the category of historical breeding achievements.
The technical characteristics of the variety include its classification as a diploid type. In the scientific literature of the 1980s, Arimona is mentioned in experiments studying technological quality, including the effect of nitrogen fertilizers on the content of sugar, sodium, potassium, and alpha-amino nitrogen, as well as in studies of chloroplasts in leaf epidermis cells.
