The fodder beet Feldherr forms large light-orange root crops with a smooth surface. A characteristic feature is the high positioning of the root above the soil surface, ranging from 40% to 80%, which simplifies the harvesting process and grazing of animals directly in the field.

The variety has a low dry matter content (12–17%), which ensures high digestibility of the feed for livestock. The potential yield of fresh mass reaches 80–100 tonnes per hectare. The plant is characterized by high resistance to bolting and moderate resistance to rust.
