The series includes varieties with red, orange, yellow, and purple stems. The leaves have a green or reddish-brown color, often with a bullate or puckered structure. The height of the Five Colours Violet variety reaches 40–60 cm.
The produce is intended for fresh market sale and home gardening, including as part of mixes. The bright color of the stems and leaves is retained after thermal processing. Harvesting is possible both selectively and as whole plants.
