The sugar beet hybrid «Ol`zhych» is a triploid. During research, a tendency toward higher field germination of seeds compared to control samples and high growth intensity of plants in the initial vegetation period was noted, which is confirmed by the highest weight of 100 plants in the first pair of true leaves phase in a number of experiments.

In agronomic publications, the hybrid is characterized by good productivity potential. Also, plant resistance to Cercospora leaf spot and a tendency toward reduced infestation by black root compared to some other hybrids are noted.
