The variety Ballade is a sugar beet classified as Beta vulgaris L. var. altissima Döll. It is officially registered in the German national variety list under the number ZR 1359.
In agronomic practice, the variety is used as part of the standard sugar beet assortment. Scientific publications also note the use of seeds of this variety in experimental studies related to the effect of water salinity on germination, as well as in tests on the suitability of raw materials for biogas production.
