The variety belonged to the normal-sugar category and was intended for harvest at medium-late dates. It was characterized by good field emergence and a consistently high sugar yield.
Morphologically, the variety was distinguished by the cone-shaped form of the root and a uniform leaf rosette. The plants were not prone to the formation of "early bolters," that is, they did not bolt in the first year of life.
