The variety is historical breeding material. In the 1970s, it underwent testing in regions with a favorable climate, in particular in Turkey, where the possibility of its cultivation as a winter crop was studied.
The plant belongs to the polygerm type, which distinguishes it from modern monogerm hybrids. To ensure the productivity of the variety, a sum of active temperatures in the range of 2400–2600°C and a long growing season were required.
