The variety is a monogerm sugar beet variety. In comparative trials of the 1970s, it was noted that it possessed a sugar content only slightly inferior to some specialized varieties of that time.

The variety was characterized as susceptible to the nematode Heterodera schachtii. Research into its response to Cercospora leaf spot (Cercospora beticola) and beet necrotic yellow vein virus (rhizomania) was also conducted as part of the trials.
