The variety is triploid (3n) and was developed by the Polish breeding company Kutnowska Hodowla Buraka Cukrowego (KHBC). Its primary purpose is commercial cultivation for sugar production.
The variety has often been used in comparative scientific experiments to study the influence of agrotechnical factors, such as nitrogen fertilizer rates and sowing dates, on root yield and sugar content indicators. In addition to sugar production, the prospects of using this variety as a raw material for biogas production have been studied.
