The root crop has an elongated shape, and the flesh is white. A distinctive morphological trait is the green color of the skin in the neck area. The variety was historically used both in livestock farming and in cooking, with young specimens being preferred for consumption.

The plant has good keeping quality during winter storage in cool cellars. The variety is suitable for cultivation on poor soils; however, when grown near rapeseed, a decrease in taste quality is possible due to cross-pollination and general susceptibility to diseases of the Brassicaceae family.
