The variety is a winter rapeseed of Swedish breeding. In agronomic publications, it is mentioned primarily as source material for breeding work and studies of genetic proximity of varieties, as well as a basis for developing new varieties using individual selection methods.
The erucic acid content in Brink oil is 19.6%, which prevents it from being classified as a modern erucic acid-free "00"-type variety. In scientific experiments, the variety was used for genetic research, including the production of mutant forms with altered pistil structure.
