Maverick is a winter oilseed rape hybrid intended for the production of oilseeds with an oil content at the level of 46.0–46.5%. The plant reaches a height of about 160 cm, possesses a stiff stem and good lodging resistance. The hybrid is characterized by high growth energy in both autumn and spring periods, which allows it to be sown at different times.
The variety possesses pronounced resistance to key pathogens, including phoma stem canker due to Rlm7 and RlmS genes, leaf spot, and turnip yellows virus (TuYV). It shows moderate resistance to verticillium wilt. It belongs to the mid-late maturity group.
