The variety forms small heads with a pointed shape unusual for Savoy cabbage, featuring tender green leaves. In literature, this variety is also found under the names Kappertjes and Vorbote.
Cultivation utilizes the traditional widow culture method, which includes sowing around September 20, overwintering seedlings in cold frames, and transplanting into the open field in early spring to obtain a harvest in the shortest possible time.
